Best Overall XION Project Award

  • The project that demonstrates the most potential across all verticals, utilizes XION’s abstractions, and scores the highest among the evaluation criteria.

Track 1 - Pyramid of Faith: Ponzi Schemes

Track 2 - Confession: ZK & Privacy Sponsored by zkEmail

  • This track is for all projects that are building products on XION that utilize zero-knowledge (ZK) technology to improve user experiences, privacy, and produce novel Web3 use-cases.

Track 3 - Esoterism: Consumer, Social, Payments, & Creative

  • This track is an all encompassing use-case track for projects that utilize XION’s abstractions to create the best consumer-facing user experience for their application.

Track 4 - Communion: Abstracted Interoperability

  • This track is for projects building applications that tap into XION's cross-chain abstraction infrastructure. These projects will be built on XION and have the ability to interact with connected ecosystems, in addition to enabling users from other ecosystems to easily interact with the application built on XION.

Bonus - Best Mobile or TG Mini-App

  • This award is for the project that demonstrates the best mobile user experience for their project, either as a native app, a PWA, or a Telegram Mini-App.

Why build on XION?

XION is the first walletless L1 purpose-built for consumer applications. Its chain abstraction infrastructure enables seamless user experiences for everyday users. It includes protocol-level account abstraction, gasless transactions, signature abstraction, cross-device usage, fiat denominations, and more. By abstracting away all crypto complexities, XION allows the development of next-generation projects bringing Web3 to mainstream audiences worldwide. You have the opportunity to build the first truly consumer-friendly applications on XION today.

XION is also backed by over $36M from top tier investors such as Circle, Animoca, Multicoin, Spartan, Hashkey, and many more.

The XION ecosystem is thriving with over 200+ integrations, deployments, and partners. Its testnet has also achieved over 4million wallets and 10s of millions of transactions, enabling you to tap into an existing user-base right away.

Goals

There are multiple goals for XION’s Believathon:

  1. Enabling serious entrepreneurs looking to grow their business idea into a reality, and compete with other elite builders for the opportunity to join XION's upcoming ACCELERAXION program and tap into additional ecosystem support
  2. Demonstrating XION’s potential to truly reach mainstream audiences through its unique Chain Abstraction infrastructure
  3. Continuing to grow and engage XION’s fast-growing developer community by making the developer experience as seamless as possible, attracting developers both from within and outside the industry

Submission Requirements & Evaluation

The XION BELIEVATION is open to all projects deploying on the XION L1 blockchain!

Submission Requirements You should view you project submissions as both a pitch to potential investors as well as an application to XION's upcoming ACCELERAXION program. You should therefore allocate enough time to ensure your presentation is high quality. It is important that you spend time finishing your code as well as your marketing & presentation materials.

  • Project Description
    • Product name
    • A max 50 word summary of the project
    • Name of team member(s) and roles, including backgrounds/previous experience, and location
    • An overview of what problem is being addressed and how the team resolves the identified problem through this creation (except for the Pyramid of Faith track...)
    • Product logo
    • Project Twitter account
  • Github or GitLab repo link(s)
    • While open-source repos are encouraged, you may keep your repo private. If you decide to close-source your code, you are required to share it with hackathon@burnt.com so organizers and judges can review.
  • A live product link, with testing instructions
  • A presentation link
    • Presentations can be submitted as a slide deck and/or a video presentation. Please keep the videos under 3 minutes.
  • User-facing projects must integrate XION's Meta Accounts, and are highly encouraged to integrate the Treasury Contracts in order to provide a gasless user experience.

Disclosure:

  • All submission materials must be in English, including the demonstration video, text description, and testing instructions, as well as any other materials submitted.
  • Projects submitted to other hackathons or challenges need to be disclosed in the submission or README of the project. Our judges will evaluate project submissions based on how the team implements their features and the uniqueness of the application.

How will submissions be judged and with what criteria?

Eligible submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges. Judging may take place in one or more rounds with one or more panels of Judges. Entries will be judged on their use of XION's infrastructure, on the criteria of originality and creativity, technicality and design, business model and feasibility, usability, use case, and contribution to the XION ecosystem.

  • Team & Business Plan
    • Who is the team, and do they have the background to execute on the idea? Why are they interested in creating a solution to the problem they are solving?
    • Is there a viable business to be built around this project?
  • Effective use of XION’s infrastructure: Does this project effectively utilize XION's abstractions to offer a seamless user experience?
  • Quality & Complexity: Does the product work as intended, and what is the quality of the code?
  • Project Sustainability & Potential Impact
    • Can this project continue to grow and evolve in the XION ecosystem?
    • How impactful is this project to the XION ecosystem?
  • User Experience & Design
    • Is the user experience seamless and is the design conducive to reaching mainstream audiences?
  • Novel Solution
    • How creative is the project and does it utilize XION's abstractions to its advantage?

Getting Started

You can participate by registering through DoraHacks today, and start building! You can also attend the upcoming weekly workshops and office hours to learn more about the platform and get help with your project. Below are additional resources to help get you started.

Developer Resources

Zero-Knowledge Tooling & Infrastructure

zkEmail Documentation

zkEmail libraries can be used for verifying that particular emails were sent from particular senders, letting you verify things like account ownership of social apps, flight purchases, digital subscriptions, etc.. Example use-cases have included zkP2P and Proof of Twitter

zkTLS Reclaim Documentation

Reclaim SDKs make it simple to bring user activity, reputation, and identity from external websites into your own application. It includes data providers from some of the most popular websites. If the website you want to import data from isn't on the list, you can build your own data provider using their developer tool.

Decentralized Signing & Encryption Infrastructure

Lit Developer Guides Repo & Lit SDK API Reference

Lit Protocol Encryption & Access Control Docs

Lit's encryption protocol can be used to store data securely and privately on the open web. With Lit, you can encrypt your data client side and define flexible rules for permitting access. This includes checking for NFT or token ownership, verifying custom smart contract logic, off-chain events, and more. Use Lit encryption as a primitive for building user-owned social apps, verifiable credential platforms, data marketplaces, IP management, and more.

Lit Protocol Decentralized Compute Docs

Lit Actions are immutable JavaScript programs that enable the creation of powerful, blockchain-agnostic applications with built-in cryptographic capabilities like signing and encryption. Lit Actions can be used to fetch data from on or off-chain sources, program signing or encryption based on conditional logic ("If, Then"), perform secure user authentication, and more. Use Lit Actions to build cross-chain DeFi, decentralized data oracles, autonomous AI agents, and more.
